Summary:

This program reviews blood glucose goals and the importance of glucose variability in long-range complications of diabetes. It also reviews new therapies available for diabetes management and their role in adjunct therapy. These new hormones represent tri-hormonal management of diabetes and prevention of complications. Case studies using these therapies are presented.

Objectives:

At the end of the presentation participants will be able to:

  1. Define blood glucose goals pre/post meals and HbA1C goals to prevent complications
  2. Discuss glucose variability and concern for long term complications.
  3. Identify factors related to effective use of point in time self-blood glucose monitoring.
  4. Discuss the use of new therapies (GLP-1, DPP-4) inhibitors and amylin replacement) as adjunct therapy for diabetes.
  5. Review cases and make recommendations for therapy changes using advanced diabetes therapy and technology.

2. As a site for the price of $ 125 per webinar. A site is defined as one computer connection and one telephone connection. The number of professionals awarded continuing education per site is unlimited. Sites and individuals that reserve all four (4) webinars receive a 10% discount for the series
