Lifeskills is the complete diabetes program. It is based on a pilot our staff developed for the Centers for Disease Control. Evaluation of that model showed a remarkable 54% reduction in diabetes related hospitalizations and 50% reduction in length of stay. Lifeskills meets the National Standard for Diabetes Patient Education Programs and has been used by our affiliates to gain National Recognition from the American Diabetes Association. Updated regularly, it reflects the most current treatments and practices. Written at a 5th grade reading level, the Lifeskills II patient manual has been hospital tested and proven effective with patients whose levels of education range from the third grade to post graduate degrees.
